Blanche "Arlene" Alleman was born on July 5, 1926, in Lewisville, Idaho, to Wells and Blanche Lorene Fife Barney. She attended school in Lewisville and graduated from Midway High School. She attended nursing school at the LDS Hospital in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and graduated as a Registered Nurse.

Arlene married Arvel Edwin Alleman on June 23, 1948, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Arvel passed away on July 15, 2013.

Arlene and Arvel lived in Montpelier, Idaho for 8 years, and Stevensville, Montana for 10 years, and has lived in Thatcher, Idaho for the past 54 years. She spent many winters in the Arizona sunshine.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Relief Society President; she also served in the Primary and Sunday School.

She cared for people as a Registered Nurse for over 35 years; 20 of those years were spent working at the Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs. She enjoyed reading and loved flowers and playing games. She also loved seeing her family gathered together.

Arlene passed away on Monday, Sept. 16, 2019, at the age of 93, at her home in Thatcher, surrounded by her family. She is survived by two sons and three daughters: Gerald (Jolene) Alleman of Thatcher; Boyd (Susan) Alleman, of American Fork, UT; Delaine Peterson of Pleasant Grove, UT; Peggy Alleman of Thatcher; and Marilyn (Scott) Szabo of American Fork, UT. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Shirley Rosen of Smithfield, UT. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvel Alleman; brother, Leland W. Barney; sister, Nola Barney; daughter, Donna Alleman; and a grandson, Michael Boyd Alleman.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 11:00 a.m. at the Thatcher/Williams Ward Chapel in Niter. Burial in the Thatcher Cemetery.
