Opal Fern McCoy, 78, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away at home Friday, September 13, 2019, with her loving family at her bedside.
Born August 24, 1941, in Vox, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Nellie Bray.
Opal was a faithful member of East Side Church of God where she loved her church and church family.
In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her four brothers: Paul Bray, Jerry Bray, Ernest Bray, and Ernie Bray.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 61 years, Paul McCoy; two sons: Lonnie McCoy and wife Tina of Lexington, Kentucky, and Tom McCoy and wife Mildred of London, Kentucky; two daughters: Barbara Wyatt and husband Terry of Corbin, Kentucky, and Sherry Anders and husband Tony of Keavy, Kentucky; four grandchildren: Susan Lawson, Mason McCoy, Austin Anders, and Shawn Anders; two great grandchildren: Sierra Lewis and Bryson Lawson; and three sisters: Erma Lewis, Violet Vanhook, and Arneda Caudell. She is also survived by other relatives and numerous friends.
She will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Monday, September 16, 2019, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Randall Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
