Nasworth was the son of Max Whiddon Gandy and Laney Whiddon. It seems he was named for his Grandmother's family, Leah Nasworthy, wife of Brinkley Gandy.

Nasworth W. Gandy served with his brothers in the Civil War in Co. "E", 50th GA. He was married to Georgia Ann Davis on 12 August 1866 in Thomas County, Georgia. Together they had nine children that I can find. Seems the grave site has not been located however it is thought to be in Colquitt Co. or Thomas Co., Georgia.

Nasworth and Georgia Ann Gandy are the 3rd Great Grandparents of Hannah Evans.
