Daughter of the late Kenneth Rayner Baugham and Sarah Elliott Baugham (1852–1944).
Following her graduation at Converse College, she was a member of the faculty of Spartanburg City School before going to New York where she studied to be a librarian.
During the Depression, when there were no funds available to keep the Spartanburg Library open, she and her assistants served without remuneration as she felt the need for a library was greater at that time. Few people knew of this self-sacrifice except the Library Board who as soon as it was possible, showed their appreciation.
Survivors include her sister, Effie Baugham, sister-in-law, Edith Baugham, niece. Mrs. W.T. Brodie, and several great-nieces and nephews.
Also predeceased by a brother, Walter Baugham (1867–1937).
Graveside services were held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Spartanburg, officiated by Rev. John M.Younginer.
