Kay Louise Johnson Beaver, age 88, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family On Tuesday, September 10, 2019. She had a beautiful life. In our hearts, a memory will always be kept, of one we loved and will never forget.

Kay was born May 1st, 1931 in Tekonsha Michigan to Donald and Grace (Bartholomew) Johnson. She attended Tekonsha schools and graduated in 1949. She grew up in Tekonsha on the family farm. She met the love of her life, Gerald W. Beaver in 1973 and they resided in Northville Michigan.

Loving wife of Gerald W. Beaver of Northville, loving Mother of 7 children: Deborah (James) Peters, Dolly (Dolan) Slimp, Pamela (Dale) Yagiela, Sally (Frank) Schafer, Donald (Michelle) Hicks, Dean (Terry) Hicks, Mary Beth(Craig) Cobb. 23 Grandchildren. 45 Great-Grandchildren 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and best friend, Karen Fox.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Grace (Bartholomew) Johnson; sisters, Anita B. Waffle and Donna M. Johnson; brother, Jerry C. Johnson; son, Dean T. Hicks; son- in-laws, Frank C. Schafer, and Craig Cobb.

Kay loved her family and being involved with her grandchildren attending horse shows, equestrian meets, dance recitals, gymnastics, baseball, football and soccer games.

Kay and Gerald loved traveling and going to the different fairs. They loved harness racing and one of Kay's passions was owning their own Standardbred Horses and being in the Winner's Circle with a horse they owned. Spending time with family, being with her brother and sisters were her greatest joy and of course, being with the love of her life, her dear Husband!

Visitation will be held at Kempf Funeral & Cremation Services, Marshall on Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 11:00am to 12:00pm. A memorial service will immediately follow at 12:00pm. Interment will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery in Tekonsha. A luncheon will be served back at Kempf Funeral Home in the Reception Hall following the burial. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of one's choice.
