MANNING -- Herman Douglas Jackson, 79, of Manning died Nov. 2, 2004, at Twin Rivers Health and Rehab in Arkadelphia. He was born Feb. 13, 1925, in Antoine, son of the late John Henry and Rosa Clements Jackson. He was a timber industry worker, a Mason at the Gurdon Lodge and a member of Manning Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, James Douglas Jackson.

Survivors include: His wife, Barbara A. Price Jackson; a son, John Dewey Jackson of Sparkman; three daughters, Ann Pilgrim and Betty Jean Holland of Manning and Linda Kay Hartgrave of Rogers; two sisters, Willie Jo Ferguson of Arkadelphia and LeFern White of Nashville; and 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home chapel with Donnie Sherrill and Cecil Barnhart officiating. Burial will be in Antoine Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
