HANOVER Isabelle Jenkins Worley, 86, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, June 30, 2007, at home. She was the wife of Glenn R. Worley, who died July 22, 1988. Mrs. Worley was a member of the Hanover Church of the Brethren and volunteered for many years at the Brethren Home Community in Cross Keys. Isabelle was a graduate of William Penn High School in York. She was employed for 37 years with Hanover Shoe, until her retirement. Born February 6, 1921, in Luray Va., she was a daughter of the late William O. and Grace Ellen (Racer) Jenkins. She is survived by her son, Gene W. Worley of Hanover; and three grandchildren, Douglas Worley of Colorado Springs, Colo., Steven Worley of Denver, Colo., and Travis Worley of Hanover. She was predeceased by three siblings, brother, Rev. Jesse O. Jenkins, siste,r Ruth Kestner, and brother, Loring Jenkins. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2007, at Hanover Church of the Brethren, 601 Wilson Ave., Hanover, with the Rev. Dr. Marcia L. Kump and the Rev. John P. Layman officiating. The viewing will be from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the church. Burial at Mummerts Meeting House Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family.
