ANDREWS, JERRELL age 71, of Mt. Olive, Alabama, passed away at his home on October 8, 2010.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Jill Marie Andrews (1965-1995).
He is survived by, his loving wife of 49 years, Gloria J. Andrews; one daughter, Janice Butts (Tom - whom he loved and thought of as a son) of Gardendale; and two grandchildren, Matt Butts (Kelli Ann) of Gardendale and Todd Butts of Hayden. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law Joyce Gentry (Phillip) and Judy Gibson; two brothers-in-law, Ricky Pilkington (Pam) and Jerry Pilkington (Sheena) whom he loved and thought of as a son; and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
He retired from Alabama Power Company after 39 years of service and attended Beechwood Baptist Church in Mt. Olive. He loved God and his family.
The funeral will be held on Sunday, October 10th in the chapel of Ridout's Gardendale Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 5 - 8 p.m. Jerry Pilkington will provide the Eulogy and Matt Butts will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Tom Butts, Matt Butts, Todd Butts, Ricky Pilkington, Jerry Pilkington, and Louis Boackle. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Courtenay Bonner Nall, R.N., with Hospice Services of Alabama for the exceptional care and love given to him and his family.
