Cordell “Corkey” Brewster, age 79, of Pinnacle, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 at his home, with his wife of 55 years, by his side.
Mr. Brewster was born August 20, 1939 in War, WV., to the late Charles and Violet York Brewster. He retired from RJ Reynolds and was also the owner of Pilot Garage in Pilot Mtn. and Friendship Autos Sales. He was a member of Friends Union Church. He had a love of farming and NASCAR. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dyle Brewster and a granddaughter, Mary Ann Flippen.
The family will receive friends and loved ones, Monday, April 1, 2019 from 12:30 until 2:00 pm at Friends Union Church; 1087 Spainhour Mill Rd. Pinnacle, NC 27043. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the church sanctuary with Pastor Ronnie Brown, Rev. Frank Huffman and Mr. J. W. Hunt officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Old Friends Union Cemetery.
