James Michael "Jimmy" Ayers was the first born son of Serapta "Sadie" Marsadies Williamson and we assume Joseph Midreal Romeiko. His mother eventually married six men, and Jimmy carries the surname of her third husband. We have not located a birth certificate for Jimmy, but his death certificate says he was born in California. Considering that his mother "told stories" on birth and marriage certificates, it is unknown whether that location is accurate or not and/or what surname Jimmy was even registered under when he was born.
Jimmy met an untimely drowning death at Terrell Springs (a mineral springs swimming area) in San Antonio, TX over Memorial Day weekend in 1944 when his body was found at the bottom of the pool. He was just barely over 6 years old.
Jimmy's brother Terry Lee was born following his death in August 1944, and a third brother followed, John Vinton in 1947. He also had an older half brother Harold Lavon Ayers who was born in 1936 from another mother married to Harold Ruben Ayers.
