A. Roxanna Sommers, 21, of Lewisburg, died on Sunday, December 28, 2003 at her home in her loving mother’s arms. Roxanna brought joy to all of those whose lives she touched. She was 2002 graduate of Greenbrier East High School.

Born July 29,1982 in Princeton, she was the daughter of Aletha Sommers of Rock. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Tara Beverly Sommers (1982-1982); and grandfather, Paul Sommers (Deceased).

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her grandmother, Aletha "Nana" Davis-Sommers (1949-2016) of Rock; two brothers, John Sommers and Steven Sommers, both of Rock; an aunt, Beverly Sommers-Locklear of Red Springs, NC; special parents, Mason Preston & Lin Preston of Lewisburg; special siblings, Alana Preston and Devin Preston, both of Lewisburg, and Andrew Preston of Seattle, WV; her caregivers from Open Doors, Jennie Dunbar, Lajaunna Fitsgerald, Carol McMahon, Sylvia Eagle, Shelby Fleshman, Sheila Ward, Angela Scott, Mary Lou Huffman, Amanda Martin, Dorthy Lemons, Donna Simms, Melissa Tuckwiller, Dakota DeSousa and many others who have worked with her over the years.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Randolph Dishner officiating. Interment will follow at the Bowling Cemetery in Spanishburg.
