Mrs. Mary Carolyn Anderson Irwin, 63, resident of Leipers Creek Road, died Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Morrow Cemetery on Love Branch Road in the Hampshire Community with Rev. J.D. Brooks officiating. A celebration of life will follow at Santa Fe Baptist Church. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Herman Anderson and Mary Alice Bishop Anderson. She was married to Frank Irwin who preceded her in death on June 26, 1977. She was a homemaker and devoted gardener of flowers and tomatoes. She was a member of the church of Christ.

Survivors include three sons, James (Brenda) Irwin of Jackson, Ray Irwin of Williamsport, Bucky (Kerrie) Rowland of Williamsport; three daughters Mrs. Mary (Jerry) Baker and Mrs. Charlotte (Keith) Potts both of Williamsport and Lisa (Mark) Sironen of Louisville, KY; one sister, Miss Stella Anderson of Williamsport; ten grandchildren, Tina Potts, Ashley Potts Sironen, Joshua Potts, Marissa Potts, Joe Sironen, Justin Lowery, James Irwin, John Timothy Irwin, Karlee Rowland, Kortney Rowland; one great-grandchild, Elijah Blayne Potts; and several nieces and nephews.
