Selma – Linwood Mark Higgins, age 73, died Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Born May 13, 1946 in Johnston County he was a son of the late C.H. and Dorothy Watson Higgins. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Higgins Brady; grandson, Skylar Brady; son-in-law, Brannon Brady; brother, Jerry Higgins; and sisters, Mable H. Johnson and Deborah Sessoms. Linwood enjoyed watching wrestling and Nascar. He loved spending time with family and friends and never met a stranger.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2019 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Princeton weather permitting. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Saturday just prior to the service.

Surviving are his wife, Donna Boykin Higgins; son, Tony Mark Higgins and wife Daphne Higgins of Clarkton; brothers, J.L. Higgins, Bobby Higgins, Danny Higgins, and Billy Higgins; sisters, Clara Powell and Pat H. Jackson, all of Smithfield; granddaughter, Lauren Bethune and husband Josh; and great grandchildren, Bryce Bethune and Harper Bethune.
