Mary E. Craig, 83, a resident at the El Paso Health Care Center in El Paso, IL, formerly of Galva, died at 1 PM Saturday August 31, 2019 at the center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at St. John Catholic Church in Galva. Fr. John Burns will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in the St. John Catholic Cemetery, rural Galva. Memorials can be directed to her church. Rux Funeral Home, Galva, is handling arrangements.

She was born on May 22, 1936 in Horton, KS, the daughter of Asa and Gertrude (Siebenmorgen) White. She married Earl W. Craig on November 27, 1954 in Horton, KS. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, six sisters and a son, James. She is survived by a son Paul of Galva, two sisters, Agnes Rose Scheid of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Delores “Dee Dee” Hathaway of Hiawatha, Kansas and several nieces and nephews.

Mary had been a cook at Bridgeway in Kewanee. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary. She enjoyed going for drives in the car with her son, Paul.
