25th Year of Wedding Celebrated by Couple
HANDEL. -- Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Allenbrand celebrated their silver wedding with a quiet dinner on February 23 with a few relatives and friends present. They received a chest of silverware and various other silverware. Mr. and Mrs. Allenbrand were married on February 23, 1916 at the home of the bride at Lorimor, Iowa, U.S.A. Mr. and Mrs. Allenbrand came to Canada in the spring of 1916. They settled near Handel where they have made their home since. They have 12 children, nine of whom are still at home.

ALLENBRAND -- THE FUNERAL service of Mrs. Amy Catherine Allenbrand who died on Aug. 26 was held from McKague's Funeral Home on Aug. 30 at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Rev. R. Bartlett. Pallbearers were Henry Berg, Jake Dyck, Elmer Reimer, Kenneth Augustin, Richard Smith and Howard Schoeler. Burial was made in the Handel Cemetery.
