Leonard was born on January 30, 1948 in Gallina, NM.
Leonard was preceded in death by grandparents, Todocio Arellano, Gregorita Cañedo Arellano, Irene Rodríguez, parents, Estevan and Camilla R. Arellano of Gallina, NM, infant son, Leonard F. Arellano Jr. and siblings,: Joseph Arellano, Teodoro “Ted” Arellano, Patrick Arellano, Lupe Martínez, Alice Alvarez and Evelyn Arellano.
Leonard is survived by three children, Jennifer Arellano, Freddie Arellano and Carol Arellano, seven grandchildren, siblings,: Danny Arellano and his wife, Lita of Glendale, CA, Beyo Arellano and his wife, Francis of Santa Fé, NM, Daniel Arellano and his wife, Esperanza of Española, NM, Vangie Griego and her husband, Ignacio of Albuquerque, NM, Mary Arellano and Teresa Arellano of Santa María, CA and Patsy Arellano of Dalton, GA. Leonard will be missed and remembered by many nephews, nieces, who knew him as uncle “Tocho,” who he loved and entertained with his keen sense of humor and for his famous quotes: “According to the Luke.” “Don’t you know, can’t you tell?”
A Christian Memorial Service will be celebrated and officiated by Pastor Daniel Arellano at The Rock Christian Fellowship in Española, NM on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Internment will follow at Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde, NM, where he will be laid to rest near his beloved parents. Pallbearers will be Anthony Arellano, Ivan Arellano, Freddie Arellano, Michelle L. Arellano, Julienne Arellano and Bayo Arellano. Honorary Pallbearers will be his great-nephews, Uriah Arellano, Elias Arellano and Malachi Arellano.
