Charles David “Chuck” Ellis, 63, of Germantown, Tennessee, a beloved father, brother, and son departed this life on May 2, 2019. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 5, 1956, the son of Mal and Wanda Ellis, who preceded him in death. Chuck was a Riverboat Captain on the Mississippi River for 45 years and enjoyed life along the river. He enjoyed painting, deep-sea fishing, gardening, movies, and golfing. He was classic, impeccably dressed, artistic, and always eager to learn something new. He loved his family deeply, and will forever be loved and missed. He is succeeded by his three daughters: Rachel Parham (Mark), Julie Vaughan (Jesse), and Sunny Ellis (Greg); six grandchildren: Bryan, Laura, Dale, and James Parham, and Nathan and Shane Vaughan; three sisters: Linda Black Howe, Carol DuBose, and Mary Ohm (Wayne); two brothers: Mal Ellis (Nancy), William “Bill” Ellis (Kathy); and seven nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his treasured “First Mate” - his dog Skipper. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 9, 2019, from 1:00-2:00 pm, with service following at 2:00 pm at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Highway 51, Millington, TN.
