Beulah Almira McLaughlin 93, passed away Friday August 30, 2019, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Beulah was born on February 2, 1926, to William and Zella (Sweet) Fox, in Elkville Illinois.
She married Rev. Fred McLaughlin July 30, 1945 in San Rafael, California; he preceded her in death on June 3, 1998.
Mrs. McLaughlin was a member of Pate Chapel Church in Murphysboro, Illinois. She was involved in 4-H, where she coached the girls softball team, and played in her youth. Beulah was an avid sports fan and bowler, she had bowled on the same league for 20 yrs. She loved to go to her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, so much so that she never missed a game. Beulah also loved to farm and drive her tractor for over 20 years, and anytime she drove she was sure to let everybody know about it.
She is survived by one son D. McLaughlin of Murphysboro, one granddaughter Erica and Mitch of Murphysboro, three grandchildren Augustus , Liam , and Elliot all of Murphysboro,IL; Two brothers Dossie of Carbondale,IL and William of Murphysboro, IL, and several nieces and nephews who lived with her when they were young.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Curtis McLaughlin, and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be 11 am Wednesday September 4, 2019, at Pate Chapel Church with Rev. Jim Easton officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 pm at the church Tuesday September 3rd. Her body will be laid to rest at Murdale Gardens of Memory.
