Alex would brighten a room when he walked in with a “gleaming smile”. He always made people feel happy with his jokes, antics, and friendly spirit, having a bad day was not an option with him around.
In 2009, he graduated from LaGrange High School and shortly afterward he joined the UPS team where he was employed for 10 years. He was a hardworking and dedicated employee, who loved his job.
On July 2, 2019 Alex was called to his Eternal Home to spread his gleaming smile. There waiting to meet him is his loving grandmothers: Cora Alice Hand, Willie Mae Cox, and Lillie Pearl Cox.
To continue to treasure and honor his memories, he leaves his mother, Alice Hand; father, Grover (Andrea) Cox, Jr.; sister, Mylena Cox; brothers, Cornell Kendrick and Jalen Cox; grandfathers, Charlie Hand and Grover Cox, Sr.; aunts, Beverly Jones and April (Corey) Ross; uncle, Terry Cox; and a special friend, Zipporah Cheeks; along with a host of great aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly.
The Celebration of Life Service will be Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Dr. W. T. Edmondson will officiate.
Interment will follow at Southview Cemetery.
