She was born in Stafford Springs on November 14, 1932, the daughter of the late Mike and Carrie (Wilson) Chebro.
Carol graduated from The Connecticut School of Hairdressing in Hartford.
She spent much of her life caring for her son.
Carol drove the school bus in Ashford and was Deputy Sheriff and State Marshal for several years.
She was a member of the Hungarian Social Club and the Ashford Fire Department Woman’s Auxiliary.
Carol was a thoughtful caring person who was an avid UCONN Huskies basketball fan.
She liked watching and feeding all variety of birds.
In years past, they loved taking long snowmobile rides to pass time in the winter.
Carol enjoyed traveling. On one occasion, she took her whole family on a trip to Alaska.
Carol is survived by three daughters, Kathleen Makray and her husband Rob, Dona Pare and Rick of Maine and Linda Plourde and her husband Paul; granddaughter Carrie Smith; great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; her sisters Jackie Bradley and her husband Barry, and Joan Celotti and her husband George.
She is predeceased by her son Rudy Jr.; two granddaughters, Amelia Mason and Jennifer Beyor, and a brother Michael Chebro and her loving dog Tina.

Burial will follow at St. Philips Cemetery, Ashford.
