Robert K. Amidon , 68, of 3359 Pleasant Valley Road, Syracuse, died Thursday at his home after a long illness.
Mr. Amidon was a life resident of the town of Onondaga. He owned and operated a farm, and also retired in 1981 after 31 years with the town of Onondaga Highway Department.
Surviving are his wife, the former Barbara Bishop; two sons, Fred and Robert II, both of Syracuse; a daughter, Vicki Recore of Syracuse; his mother, Geraldine Heselden of Syracuse; a brother, Richard of Marcellus; two stepbrothers, Jack Heselden of Rochester and George Heselden of Longwood, Fla.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. today in Amber Congregational Church, the Rev. Richard Chaffee officiating. Burial will be in Amber Cemetery
