Toano - Mrs. Trittie Ware Geddy, 75, died Saturday in Williamsburg Community Hospital.
A lifelong Toano resident, she was a member of Hickory Neck Episcopal Church, Toano. She was a member of the Toano Women's Club, and was active in many civic affairs. She was a teacher for 40 years, and taught at Stony Creek, Fairfax, Warwick County, Toano, and James Blair, in Williamsburg.
Survivors include a son, Bert E. Geddy Jr.; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Ware Fisher of Quinton and Mrs. Mary Ware Mountcastle of Providence Forge; three brothers, Edmond W. Ware of Quinton, Charles Montfort Ware of Hallieford and David W. Ware of Toano; and three grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Hickory Neck Episcopal Church, Toano, by the Rev. George Joel Smith, rector.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Bucktrout Funeral Home from 7 - 9 p.m. today.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Hickory Fork Episcopal Church Parish House Building Fund.
