Tawanda Monique Manning affectionately known as “Reese” was born July 24, 1978 in Sumter, Sc to the late Dianne Jacobs and the late James Long.

Tawanda was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Hillcrest High School in Sumter, SC. Tawanda was known for her kindhearted spirit and motherly authoritarian demeanor. She enjoyed life and made everyone laugh with her beautiful personality. Tawanda played important roles in the lives of many especially the children of her family, she was always there to lend a helping hand.

Tawanda was preceded in death by her mother and father, Dianne Jacobs and James Long; paternal grandmother, Pearl Long; maternal grandparents, Charlie and Catherine Jacobs.

Tawanda departed this earthly life on Friday, August 23, 2019 in Sumter, SC

Tawanda leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Stacy Manning; two sons, Daveon Praylou and Jasheem Jacobs; two brothers, Rudy (Stephanie) Jacobs and Charlie (Victoria) Jacobs; one sister, April (Quentin) Jacobs; three aunts, Pauline Archie, Susanna Benjamin and Patricia (Gregory) Jacobs; three uncles, Willie Sinkler, Jr., Albert Jacobs and Charlie Jacobs; five nephews, Jaquan Jacobs, Javonta Jacobs, Daq’unte Jacobs, Markell Jacobs and Jakell Jacobs; four nieces, Adasha Jacobs, Zynia Jacobs, Zylaya Jacobs and Khole Jacobs; two god children, Ava Craft and Carnell Williams; three special friends, Davis Praylou (companion for many years), Stephanie Bracey and Climie Wilder; two great aunts, Ruth Mae Cantey and Mary Williams; one great uncle, Willie Sinkler and a host of special relatives and friends.
