Robert E. "Bob" Burklow, age 75, of Elgin and former many year resident of the Carpentersville-Dundee areas passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019. Bob was born in Chicago on February 19, 1944 and was the son of the late William & Patricia Burklow.
He was a lifelong resident of the area, a 1962 graduate of Dundee Community High School and a 1966 graduate of Northern Illinois University. Bob was a Carpenter/General Contractor by trade and owner and operator of Bob Burklow Construction. He was a former member of Carpentersville Century Lodge #492 I.O.O.F and a member of Elgin Riverside Club.
Bob is survived by his longtime significant other of 14 years; Virginia L. Rigney, his children; Amie L. (Brian) Treacy, Ronald F. (Amanda) Burklow and Janine A. (Louis) Tasson. His twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Other survivors include his sister; Nan (Jim) Gerber and brothers; William C. (Karen) and Bruce Burklow along with many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a daughter; Annette Burklow.
At Bob’s request he was cremated. A Private Gathering celebrating his life will be held on September 7, 2019 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM.
