Absalom was born to Joshua and Mary Stafford. He married Cynthia Ann Blackburn in 1864 in Decatur Co, Indiana. To this union, 9 children were born. Eight have been identified. Absalom was a life long farmer.

The last census that Absalom can be found on is the 1910 in Washington Co, CO. He appears in the 1914 and 1915 city directories in Omaha, NE with his sons. He is in Akron, CO in 1916 when his wife, Cynthia, dies. He is listed on his sons WWI Draft Registration in 1918 as the nearest relative, residing in Akron. That is the last documentation I can find on him.

If anyone has information on where he is buried, contact me below. The Akron cemetery says he is not there with his wife.
