Lovie was a daughter of Allen Buck and Louisa Adams. She was married on 24 Jan 1899 to John Redden Hunt. John died on 1 Dec 1904, he was 32 years old at the time, Lovie was pregnant at the time with their fifth child when he died. Their five children attested in an article submitted by a family member, Barbara A. Sullivan to book "Chronicles of Pitt County, NC, Vol. II" article #725 on pages 543-544, named them as Emma Jane Hunt (25 Nov 1899-25 Mar 1899), Leon George Hunt (30 May 1901-19 Nov 1993), Ramon Hunt (5 Jul 1902-11 Mar 1906), Bonnie Mccoy Hunt (30 Oct 1903-3 Oct 1922), and Eva Redden Hunt (4 Jul 1905-7 Jan 1988).
Besides her and spouse, also buried in the Edwards-Buck Cemetery are sons, Ramon, Bonnie Mccoy. Many trees on ancestry have mistakenly assigned Lenwood Buck as a child of her and John Redden Hunt. He is buried in same cemetery as them but he was a son of J.A. & L. Buck, William Kittrell transcribed this in his 2007 survey.
