Funeral services for Mr. Buddy Holcomb will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Reverend Louie Moore and Reverend Randall Sims officiating. Burial will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Holcomb, 72, of Daleville passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Anderson Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Buddy was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Jackson and also an active member at GracePointe Church in Meridian. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He enjoyed bowling, supporting his wife while she pastored and ministered, and spending time with his family and friends. Buddy worked for many years as an accountant and CEO.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Reverend Linda Sanders Holcomb; children, Dana Holcomb McElroy (Clint), Jason Holcomb (Megan), and Steve Taylor; grandchildren, Jacob Taylor, Kristen McElroy, Kalab Holcomb (Caroline), John Clinton McElroy, Landon McElroy, Tyson Holcomb, and Chloe Holcomb; siblings, Stella Hubbard (Ray), Cyndhe Courtney (Hogan) and Judy Holcomb; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sylvia Wainscott, and his brother, Burton Nance.
Pallbearers will be Jason Holcomb, Clint McElroy, Steve Taylor, Tyson Holcomb, Landon McElroy, Jacob Taylor, John Clinton McElroy, and Kalab Holcomb.
