JOHN H. BENNETT
John H. Bennett, son of William H. and Susan Barrett. Bennett, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Frank
Horton, at Lake Mahopac, on Tuesday morning, June 10, 1919. About two months ago,he came to this vil-'
lidge to the home of his sister, Mrs. SilasTurner, where the kind ministrations .and medical care seemed to
help. About two weeks ago, he, went to Lake Mahopac where dropsy developed and the already weak heart
was unable to endure the rapid inroads upon its vitality. Mr. Bennett was born in the town of Kent fifty-
five years ago and leaves three children beside two brothers, Peter, who resides in Connecticut, Anna & Charles,
of Barrett Hill; also two sisters, Mrs; Frank Horton, of Lake Mahopac, where he died, and Mrs. Silas Turner,
of Brewster. The services will be held at the Kent Cliffs Baptist Church on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock and
burial will take place in the family plot in Halstead cemetery, near Kent
