Alma Arizona (Wells) Allinder of North Little Rock, Arkansas went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on August 21, 2019. Alma was born on September 11, 1928 to Arthur Lee Sr. and Marie “Big Momma” (Cassidy) Wells in Trumann, Arkansas. Alma had nine siblings. She was the second oldest, and they were a very close family.

Alma “Nanny” is preceded by her husband, Bill Charles Allinder; parents; two brothers, Arthur Lee Jr. “Hoot” Wells, Lee J “Smokey” Wells; two sisters, Kathryn Marie “Kitty” (Wells) Maxwell, Carolyn (Wells) Whitman; son-in-law, Dale Boody, and her parent-in-laws, Tomie and Georgia (McElroy) Allinder. We know that there must have been a big party going on in Heaven when Alma arrived.

Alma is survived by three children, Linda Boody, of North Little Rock, Rose Allinder, Missionary in Africa, Tomie Allinder, and wife, Carla (Bryant) Allinder; five grandchildren, Shawn Boody, of North Little Rock, Jay Boody and wife, Angela “Angi” (Walker) Boody, of North Little Rock, Billy Allinder and wife, Brittney (Cooper) Allinder, of Beebe, Dakota Allinder, of Beebe, Bradley Allinder and wife, Cassidy (Johnson) Allinder of Searcy; four great-grandchildren, Timothy Boody, of North Little Rock, Lily Boody, of North Little Rock, Natalie and Leeland Allinder, of Beebe, plus her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and her wonderful friends.

Alma retired after fifty-five years of working at Taylor Diesel Service in North Little Rock. She was one of the first female mechanics in Arkansas. In her years of service, she had the opportunity to teach a class in Memphis where headquarters for Taylor Diesel was located.

Alma loved her church family. She served Christ by teaching four and five year old children for thirty years, teaching them about Jesus and his love for them. She enjoyed all of the children she had the opportunity to teach and love on.

Her favorite movie was Gone with the Wind. Alma loved reading her bible every morning sitting at her dining room table. She had a passion for crocheting and knitting. Alma has made numerous afghans for many church family, friends and family members for wedding and baby showers.
