A.H. TeSelle, Formerly of Lynden, Accident Victim

A.H. TeSelle, Yakima, formerly a resident of Lynden, suffered serious injuries about noon today while riding on a truck driven by W.A. Terpstra, Yakima, which collided with the railing of the bridge across Oyster Creek at the horseshoe turn on the Pacific Highway south of the city.
According to the report of Highway Patrolman E.D.J. Brenton, who investigated, the accident was cause when the transmission broke on the light truck. The truck raced down the incline out of control and failed to negotiate the turn.
At the bridge the truck partly overturned, dumping a load of furniture, canned goods and household goods over into the creek.
TeSelle was reported badly injured and was taken to St. Luke's hospital where attendants reported his condition critical.
Traffic was tied up for a time until the furniture and truck thrown on the bridge could be cleared away.
Dr. B.V. Mounter attended TeSelle and said he suffered possible intenal injuries and a badly lacerated ear. He also suffed a broken arm.

Condition Critical

A.H. TeSelle Suffering From Internal Injuries
Although reported resting well at St. Luke's hospital today, little change was noticed in the condition of A.H. TeSelle, of Yakima, formerly of Lynden, injured in an automobile accident on Chuckanut drive Monday noon.
Dr. B.V. Mounter said the man was in critical condition. He suffered internal injuries, a broken shoulder, several broken ribs and a badly lacerated ear.
