CORDTS, ALBERT C. Albert C. Cordts, a lifelong Montrose
resident, died Sunday at his home. He was 65. He was
born in Beacon on April 22, 1940. Mr. Cordts was a
graduate of Hendrick Hudson High School. Upon
graduation he served in the U.S. Navy. On January 19, 1963
he married Katharine Strik at Lutheran Church of Our
Redeemer. He worked for a few years with NY Central
Railroad in Harmon, then worked for 30 years with Lucent
Technology, formerly Western Electric, as an installation
electrician. After his retirement he received his Master
Electrician License and started his second life. His wife
said that he had the time of his life. Besides his love of his
work, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Besides his wife, Katharine, Albert is survived by two sons, Chris, of
Ossining, and Thomas, of Montrose; also a sister Sharon
(Russ) Morvant of Henderson, NV. A Memorial Service is
planned. Memorial donations may be made to "One
