Wife of John Gehman - Daughter of Benjamin & Catharine (Hissner) Beard, who are interred in the same plot. John died in 1939 and is interred in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, which is now Plain Township Cemetery.

Gehman, Mrs. Elizabeth Beard, 88, wife of John Gehman, died early today in her home on the Middlebranch road, after an illness of more than a year. She had lived in Stark county all her life and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Beard who were pioneer settlers in Plain township. She was a memberf of Holy Trinity Lutheran church.

Beside her husband, she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hisey of Canton, Miss Catharine Beard of the home, and three brothers, Rolandus, Charles and Frank Beard, all of Canton.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Warstler church in charge of Rev. C. L. Warstler. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will remian at the Seesholtz funeral home until Thursday noon.
