s/o Philip and Ida (Bushkin) Steiman, one of twelve children. He was the widower of Beatrice A. (Archambeault) Steiman who died in 1996.

He lived most of his life in Worcester and retired in 1977. He moved to Belmont, NH twenty-eight years ago.

Young beyond his years, he was an active fisherman and gardener. Not a leaf could survive his grasp nor a snowflake adorn his driveway. He told the corniest jokes but "we" loved to hear them. He enjoyed square dancing, travel, crossword puzzles and cards. His smile would light up a room. His favorite good-bye line was a pat on the back and the words "it's good to see ya back again."

Mr. Steiman served the Town of Belmont in the Conservation Department and the Health Department.

Mr. Steiman was a member of Temple B'Nai Israel, Laconia, NH. He was a former member of the Temple Emanuel Brotherhood, the Knights of Phythias, the Loyal Order of Moose and the Boy Scouts of America.

Survivors include two sons and two daughters.

Spring burial will be in the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH
