Maurice (Moe) Rozon 1944-2019.
It is with profound sadness the family of Maurice (Moe) Rozon, announce his passing on August 9, 2019 at the age of 75 after a brief battle with cancer. Moe passed away peacefully at his home on Sesekinika Lake surrounded by his family.
He will be deeply missed by his son Michael Rozon and daughter Lisa (Joseph) Rozon-Ramilo, his grandchildren Kelsey, Brook-Lynn, Cole, Myah and life partner Sylvia Bailey. Moe is survived by his sisters Evelyn (Arvind) Martyn-Aggerwall, Cecile (Marcel) Joliat, Theresa (Ron) Rozon, Pauline (Jim) Sheldon, and brother Robert (Alice) Rozon. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Daniel (Pam) Bailey and Robert (Judy) Bailey and will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Moe was predeceased by his wife Carolyn (Carnie) Bailey-Rozon and parents Grace and Leo Arcand and Ernest Rozon, his sister Pauline Leclerc and brother in-laws Fern Leclerc, Tom Martyn, Porky (John) Ludwick.
Moe loved music, entertaining, and spent many of his early years playing lead guitar and vocals with several local bands (Jay-Dee and the Deeciples, The Nighthawks, Wizard, to name a few). He worked as a mechanic at Crouse Truck Service Centre, Smith Tire & Battery, Nychuck Lumber and Rozon's Tire Service, and later as a Maintenance Supervisor at Fording Coal, Detour Lake Mine and Kirkland Lake Gold where he worked until retirement as a maintenance Planner.
Cremation arrangements have been made and Moe will be laid to rest in a private family burial. A small celebration of life ceremony for immediate family and close friends will take place at a later date.
