Harrison and Hudson Calkins were twin sons born to Luke and Polly Calkins. They had a double wedding in 1846, marrying two sisters from Vermont. Neither marriage turned out well however, and the sisters moved back to Vermont after several years. The sisters remarried but there is no record that either brother married again. Harrison died on their shared birthday, March 14. They are buried alongside each other in their familiar neighborhood cemetery.
