Mary Louisa Myers was born on April 10, 1801, in Mifflin, Pennsylvania to John and Elizabeth Rothrock Myers. Mary married Isaac John Body SR in 1819 in Mifflin, Pennsylvania. Mary and Isaac had ten children (four boys and six girls): Elizabeth, Susannah, Catherine Body Williams, John G, Mary Ann Body Johnson, George W, Sarah Jane Cobb and Louisea Body Dixon. The first three children were born in Pennsylvania before they began their journey to Illinois.
Mary and Isaac moved to Iroquois County in 1836. They first settled near Milford and then after a year moved to their farm near Woodland.
The 1840, 1850 censuses show Mary, Isaac and family living in Iroquois, Illinois. They were in agriculture.
The 1860 census lists Elizabeth and George living in Ashkum, Iroquois County, Illinois. Elizabeth can read and write.
1870 census lists Elizabeth as a widow living with four of their children in Belmont, Illinois.
Mary passed on May 31, 1873, in Woodland, Illinois, at the age of 72, and is resting beside Isaac in the Body Cemetery.
Mary's ancestors migrated from Switzerland and Germany.
