"Mrs. Edward C. Goodwin, 72, of 1006 Cleveland, died Feb. 22, 1954, in Faxton Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Clayville, Aug. 30, 1881, daughter of William and Mary Owens Evans. She came to Utica with her family at the age of two and later attended Utica schools. On May 12, 1903, she was married to Edward C. Goodwin. He died June 14, 1937. Mrs. Goodwin was a life member of Sayre Memorial Church and was very active in the Ladies Aid and Missionary Societies until her illness. She leaves one son,
William E., Utica; two daughters, Mrs. Fay Roberts, Oriskany Falls, and Mrs. Horace Dann, Sacramento, Cal.; two brothers, Thomas and Gilbert Evans, both of Utica; three grandchildren, Marilyn Ann Goodwin, Utica and Sandra Ellen and Margo Louise Dann, both of Sacramento, and several nephews. The funeral will be at 2 p. m. tomorrow from the Doyle Funeral Home, 13 Hopper, with the Rev. G. Edward Bingham, Sayre Memorial Church, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery."
