Frances Lorraine Billips Vance, 88 of Springville, VA, passed away Monday, August 12, 2019. Born on July 28, 1931 in Jenkins Jones, she was the daughter of the late Buford and Edna Miller Billips. She had been a resident of Springville for the past 60 years. She was a member of the Wrights Valley United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Dempsey Vance; one brother: JD Billips and five sisters: Pauline Quesenberry, Veril Basham, Doris Brubaker, Ilene Basham and Maxine Williams.
Survivors include her sons: Sam Vance (Barbara) of Bluefield, WV, Wayne Vance (Linda) of Winlock, WA; daughter: Connie Nipper (Ray) of Springville, VA; granddaughter: Jennifer Leigh; great-granddaughter: Kayla; brother: Donald Billips of Beckley, WV; special caregiver and friend: Marlin Blankenship; special THANKS to Amedisys Home Hospice.
Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Jim Horn officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel on Thursday morning by 10:45 A.M.
