Christine Ellen Himebaugh, 90, of Lisbon, North Dakota, died Monday, November 12, 2018, at CHI Lisbon Health, Lisbon, North Dakota.

Christine Ellen Adolf was born to Chris and Esther (Vierkandt) Adolf on August 4, 1928 in rural Elliott, North Dakota.

Christine attended grade school in rural Tuller township and graduated from Elliott High School. She was proud to be a member of the 1944 Girls State Basketball Championship team. She married Frank Himebaugh on June 27, 1947, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lisbon, North Dakota. They farmed and operated a dairy in rural Lisbon and together they raised seven daughters.

Christine worked as a Nurses Aide at Parkside Nursing Home and at the North Dakota Veteran’s Home for more than 25 years. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, sewing and needle work, reading, coffee time around her oak dining table and spending time with family.

She is survived by seven daughters, Linda Ketterling, Kathy Faller (Timothy), Patty Dick (Michael), Peggy Nelson (Paul), Jackie Printz (Chris), Julie Mairs (Rick), Jeanie Olson (Steve), nineteen grandchildren, forty-six great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren, one sister, Esther Vogel, one sister in law, Beverly Adolf and many nieces and nephews.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents, three brothers, Edward Adolf, Ernest Adolf, and Elvin Adolf, one sister, Dorothy Carlblom, son in laws Brent Wiltse, Jon Anderson, James Printz and Larry Ketterling.
