Alexander PRINGLE was married three times. He first married Annie WHITE. With Annie, he had a son: William Pringle, born December 29, 1853, in Michigan.

Alexander secondly married Sophrona GOULD on September 21, 1858, in St. Clair County, Michigan. One child was born to the marriage, Fredrick Pringle, born 1863.

Alexander's third marriage was to Lydia Ellen HUFFORD on March 4, 1865, in Wood County, Ohio. The minister was the Rev. Noah Henricks.

Alexander and Lydia had eight children: Isaac Calvin, Irene, Jacob Joe, Joel (died as an infant), Mertie, Sanford, Delia, and Olive Pearl.

Alexander, Lydia, and their children are listed on page 162 of the 1909 HUFFORD FAMILY HISTORY.

In 1870, he was living in Muskegon, Michigan, with Lydia and their three oldest children. Alex was working at a saw mill.

In 1880, he was living in Perrysburg, Ohio, with Lydia and their children. Alex was a farmer.

According to a family genealogist who is a descendant of Alexander, Alexander's father was Joel Pringle IV, born in 1781. According to findgraver #48440876, Alexander's grandfather was Dexter Pringle, born 1761 in New York, died July 31, 1839, in Fredericksburg, Lennox and Addington Co., Ontario, Canada.
