Mrs. Marie Womack Bonny, 55, wife of J. B. Bonny, chairman of the board of directors of Morrison-Knudsen Company, Inc., died Saturday morning at home in Boise after an extended illness.
A resident of Boise for the past 15 years, Mrs. Bonny traveled widely throughout the world with her husband on business trips and was well known by Industrial and government leaders in many countries.
Mrs. Bonny was born February 7, 1914, at Henderson, Tex., the daughter of the late Benjamin F. Womack and Mary Jane Archer Womack. She attended schools in Texas and resided at Fort Worth for a number of years.
She married Mr. Bonny at San Francisco on April 6, 1954. The made their home at 1911 South Roosevelt in Boise.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert Elkins Bonny, just graduated from the College of Idaho; a daughter, Mrs. Jan Bonny Cottrell III of Boise; a sister, Mrs. Victoria Hamann, San Mateo, Calif.; and a nephew, Waggoner Womack, of Henderson, Tex.
Services for Mrs. Bonny will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cloverdale Funeral Home by Fr. George Brenner, inurnment will follow.
Active pallbearers will be Bertram L. Perkins, Horace M. Thompson, Joseph P. Frien, I. J. Fordham, Robert D. Huffstadt and Waggoner Womack.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert E. Smylie, Lyman O. Wilburn, Cecil Sheeder, George Oswald, James Wells and A. B. Cassell.
The family suggests contributions to the heart fund.
