I find no mention of Etta Rose after the 1930 census. No death cert. No re-marriage. No nothing.

However, A.J. Cole entered the San Marcos telephone book in 1924 and stayed there until his death 21 Feb 1934 at which point Mrs. A.J. Cole was listed in the Oct 1934 phone book, and stayed there through the 1939 phone book, but is not in the 1940 version.

Did she die after the Oct 1939 phone directory had its final edit, and before the 1 Apr 1940 census?
