Civil War Pension Index shows Andrew J Hood, soldier, married to Evaline Hood served in Co H, 22 Ky. Inf. 20 Mar 1877 Andrew filed, application No. 232800, certificate 293770. On 13 Oct 1911 widow application 973298.

Based on the federal Censuses, Andrew and Sarah's 11 children are (in birth order): David, Emma/Embly, Andrew Jr., Harriet, Lydia A., Martha Belle, Charles E., John H., Elizabeth "Eliza," Paulina and George Leo. (I descend from their son Charles E. Hood, who married Fannie Susan Friend.)
