John Hilger Beall passed away quietly on July 1, 2017 in Kilgore, TX. John was born on December 13, 1937 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Ozema Hilger Beall and Agustus "Gus" Romaldus Beall. John moved to Alice at age 11, and was a 1956 graduate of Alice High School. He resided in Aqua Dulce, Texas until moving to Kilgore to be near his sister Celia Beall Robinson in 2013.
Preceding him in death are his father Gus Beall in 1945, his mother Ozema Beall Palmero in 1996 and his companion of many years Alma Regina Brauchle of Agua Dulce who passed away five days earlier. John was a Navy Veteran who served his country from 1959 thru 1961. John operated his well-known carpet and upholstery cleaning business for many years in Alice and the surrounding area almost singlehandedly. He was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church in Alice.
He will be missed by his sister Celia Beall Robinson, her husband Lawrence A. Robinson of Kilgore, TX along with their children Lawrence Allen Robinson II, Henry Tinsley Robinson, and Rebekah Williams as well as the members of the extended Brauchle family. He also has five nieces and two nephews who will miss their “Uncle John”.
John will be laid to rest beside his father in Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Alice, TX.
