Mr. George Howard Taylor, 77, of Candler, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 after a long illness.

A native of Asheville, he was the son of the late Howard and Clora Frady Taylor.

George was a lifelong member of Ridgeway Baptist Church and retired from 7-Up after 21 years. He loved sitting on his front porch, waving at his neighbors and taking walks with his dog, Rebel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, William Scott Fullbright.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Sexton Taylor; daughter, Pamela Danner; sisters, Louise Burchfield and Ann Watson; brother, Hoye Taylor; grandchildren Seth (Kayson) Fullbright, Katrina Fullbright and Scott Buffington; great grandsons, Tanner and Braydon Fullbright and great granddaughter, Mya Fullbright.

A Memorial Service was held at 6:00PM on Thursday, July 14th at Ridgeway Baptist Church, Candler with Rev. Jackie Collins officiating.

Inurnment will be at a later date in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ridgeway Baptist Church, 525 Old US Hwy 19/23, Candler, NC 28715.
