Surrounded by her family and friends, Josephine Fox, 93, of Destin, Fla., peacefully went to the arms of her Lord on Dec. 17, 2013, at Destin Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Jo was born in Charlotte, N.C., and as one of 12 children, always had fond memories and great stories of her early years. She married her childhood sweetheart, Julian Ray Fox, in 1944. Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Julian; her son, Julian Ray, and survived by her sister, Mary Sue Barnett; brother, David Barnett; and sons, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Jo enjoyed tennis, golf, and her volunteer work with Covent Hospice. She was a member of Destin United Melodist Church.
