MRS. LAFAYETTE BARBER
PULASKI. Dec. 14. - Mrs. Callie S. Barber, wife of Lafayette D. Barber, 82 years old, died suddenly Wednesday afternoon about 2 o'clock at her home in Pineville.
Mrs. Barber was born in the town of Amboy and was a daughter of the late Ransom (sic) and Elisabeth Bowen Wade. Mrs. Barber who had spent her entire life in the vicinity of Pineville was exceedingly alert and active.
Mr and Mrs. Barber were married Dec 1865 by Squire Wright who was justice of the peace at that time. In the early days of their married life, Mr. Barber operated a sawmill but at the beginning of the Civil War, Mr. Barber enlisted and Mrs. Barber, in her later life, enjoyed discussing the various experiences of her husband during that period.
For many years she was an active member of the Methodist Episcopal church in Pineville. She leaves besides her husband one brother, Lamelt (sic) Wade of Altmar. The funeral will be held at hr late home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. G. N. Sleeman of Altmar, officiating. Burial will be in Pineville cemetery.

Callie Barber, wife of Lafayette D Barber, passed away suddenly Wednesday afternoon December 12 with heart trouble. She was born in the Town of Amboy, Oswego County 82 years ago.
When a small child her parents, Renselear and Elizabeth Bowen Wade came to the town of Albion where she has since lived. 63 years ago she became the wife of Lafayette D Barber who survives her. Mrs Barber was loved by all who knew her for her sweet gentle life, She was interested in her home and all good things of the community The funeral was held from the house with Rev G M Sleuday, pastor of Altmar and Pineville churches officiating. Burial was in Pineville cemetery. Besides her husband she is survived by a brother Morris Wade of this town two nieces and one nephew os Syracuse and several cousins of Sauquoit, Oneida County.
