Paul Mervin Tuttle of Pottsboro, Texas went to be with his Heavenly Father on September 1st, 2015 at the age of 79. Paul was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 11th, 1936 and accepted Christ at the age of 8 and was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He along with his brother, Preston and sister, Tamara grew up in Price, Utah and some of the early childhood memories are of Paul and his brother Preston catching lizards, horn toads and scorpions, painting their bellies with watercolors only to have their mother, Miriam find them in their beds. Paul moved to Ogden, Utah in 1952, a move that would forever change his life. He met a girl named Lenora Mae Tribe one night at church, after a football game and went home, woke his parents up and told them he had met the girl he was going to marry. That marriage took place on August 5th, 1955 and lasted 60 years. Paul and Lenora were blessed with two beautiful children Lezlie and Scott. Paul moved his family to Texas in 1968 where he hunted, fished, worked with wood and loved building thing with his hands. He talked about family often and loved his friends deeply.

He graduated South High School in Salt Lake City in 1954. Paul worked most of his life as a sales representative for International Shoe Company in the Winthrop Division. He moved his family to Plano, Texas in 1973, where his children attended school and began building a cabin on property he obtained at Lake Texoma. Paul would come home each Friday, after spending the week out on the road, pack his family in the car and go up to the lake for the weekend. After his children started a life of their own he began building the retirement home for Lenora and him. They now have a legacy for their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to come.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; Mervin and Miriam Tuttle, In-laws Ona Tribe Nish and Grant Tribe. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Lenora Mae Tuttle, and children Lezlie Ann Hamilton of Garland, TX and Scott Paul Tuttle of San Diego, CA. Grandchildren, Benjamin, Brent and Brian Spotswood all in Texas and Kayla, Ashley Modglin and Adam Scott Tuttle of San Diego, CA. Paul also has five great granddaughters all in Texas .

A memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 1900 Lamberth Rd., Sherman, TX 75092. Friday at 11:00 am September 4, 2015. Please come help us honor him.
