Doris M. Reinkensmeyer, 87, of El Paso, IL passed away at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at the Apostolic Christian Home, Eureka, IL.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, El Paso, IL with Pastor Jonathan Boehne officiating. Cremation rites will follow, and a private inurnment will be held later in Evergreen Cemetery, El Paso. Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, El Paso. Memorials may be made to her church or to the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home.
Doris was born December 17, 1931 in Marseilles, IL the daughter of Mervin and Rheatha Wells Kemp. She married Robert F. Reinkensmeyer on October 22, 1950 at Trinity Lutheran Church, El Paso. He died October 9, 2009.
Surviving is one son David (Pat) Reinkensmeyer of Kappa; one son in law Randy Heibenthal of Douds, IA; three granddaughters Stephanie (Roger) Langland, Kristen (Kevin) Wheatley, and Erin (Chris) Kelley all of El Paso; four great grandchildren Cody and Taylor Langland, and Kiersten and Kaleb Wheatley; and one sister Joan Harris of El Paso.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Sandy Heibenthal, and one sister Elma Miller.
Doris was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, El Paso and worked as an administrative assistant at Pfister Seed Company and did child care for many years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling to Wisconsin and Branson, MO. She was a loving mom, grandma, great grandma and sister who enjoyed spending time with her family.
