LEVELLAND Services for Hollis R. "Ab" Abernathy, 87, of Levelland will be at 2 p.m. Monday at George C. Price Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Howe officiating.
Burial will be in the City of Levelland Cemetery under the direction of George C. Price Funeral Directors.
He died on Friday, Oct. 20, 2000, at his residence.
He was born on May 10, 1913, in Whiterock. He moved to Levelland in 1949. He married Margaret Hargrove on Dec. 10, 1932, in Roswell, N.M. She died on March 26, 1990.
He married Colleen Sneed on Aug, 10,1991.
A daughter, Raynell Anderson, died on Sept. 6, 1998. Another daughter, Peggy Shofner, died on Jan. 4, 1998.
He was a member of Second Baptist Church and Levelland Lodge #1236 AF and AM.
Survivors include his wife; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
